About Jackie

Jackie's drive to perform dangerous stunts nearly ended his life on the filming of Armour of God in 1985, where he fractured his skull falling from a tree.

Jackie fans who have been cringing in recent years - due to the substantial below par films in recent years he has made in Hollywood (Rush Hour being the main exception) - will be pleased to know that he has returned his focus to playing more riskier rolls than the action comedy many new Chan fans have always known him as. Proof of this change in mindset, was Chan's decision to sell his Beverley Hills mansdion for $6.7 million.

Chan uses his worldwide fame to help good causes. He was named as a goodwill ambassador for both the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and the UN AIDS agency (UNAIDS).

Jackie has turned down a number of possible high profile roles. Including, Wah Sing Ku (Lethal Weapon 4) later played by Jet Li and a role as a bad guy in Black Rain.

Jackie's favourite number is 32.

Jackie can also be seen in animated form, in his cartoon series titled: Jackie Chan Adventures.
