Spider-man

I started reading Spider-man comics when I was about 14. It was the first Marvel comic series I had read pretty much all the way through. Well, there were a few times where I thought to myself I'm not reading this. Particularly when the comic artists changed and the characters became more surreal in terms of the shapes of their heads etc (yeah I know, I sound a bit picky. But when you looking at someone who they say is Peter Parker, but looks like the Elephant man hit by a truck. You start to wonder.)

The comic series has really taken off since J. Michael Straczynski took the helm. He has taken the Spider-man story to new areas never before explored and readdressed the whole meaning of Peter Parker being bitten by the spider. His affect can be felt throughout the marvel universe, with the whole civil war story. With Spider-man's relationship with Tony Stark (Iron man) being paramount to the whole situation.
